Graffitti Art Shoot

22nd of May, 2015

Graffitti Art Shoot

So lately i have been thinking, as wedding season is over now, its time to collaborate with other photographers and models to build our portfolio even more.  This shoot didnt quite turn out as planned, but it still looks great i think.

My friend Eks Pres Izm who is an experienced graffitti artist was kind enough to help me with the wall, which i am ever to grateful for as it was a big help and its great to give credit to fellow artists and friends alike. He kindly got up early on a Sunday morning to paint the wall for me,  He has just been involved with the Spectrum Street Art Festival here in Christchurch, this was an amazing festival of a range of different artists showcasing their work at locations around Christchurch, one location was the YMCA .

The shoot we had planned didnt work out as the model had an emergency, so i filled in as the model, these photos are still to come, i will be sharing them soon. I then organised  a second shoot with a model that had more experience than me, and we have the photos for that shoot back already and im very excited to share!

I worked with a model that i have worked with before in the Castle Hill shoot a while back, the gorgeous Alaska Allure , she is a model/dancer for cabaret shows etc here in Christchurch, i love working with her, she knows what she is doing and the photographs always turn out fantastic! Her new bright blue hair was perfect for the graffitti look!

One of my favourite photographers was also here working with me, Vicki Quenault from VQ Photography, i have worked with her w hile back for a medievil shoot, she made some great costumes for the shoots and she chose the perfect models for the shoots, i was the makeup artist for 2 of the shoots and am very happy with the work, and have also made some great friends out it. Vicki suits dark type shoots and this nighttime one was perfect, im sure we are all very happy with the results and ook forward to working with eachother again for future collaborations.
